I just wanted to chime in to give an update on a few things. I just finished inking a cover over penciler supreme, Martin Montiel for a soon to be announced series for an American publisher. Consider it our 'pitch'. It was very detailed work, taking me about 3 days to complete. Also are tentative plans to produce a comic for a client in Germany.
Other than that...just working on samples, rebuilding my portfolio. I've taken a shine to Greg Capullo's pencils lately. I like to push myself when it comes to pencilers of his caliber: as an Inker, I try to develop my talent and push the boundaries on pencils that are intimidating. Mr. Capullo is one of those pencilers for me. I have a few others in mind, mainly to sharpen up on my brush skills. Major props go out to Jonathan Glapion, for giving me direction on things to focus on in my inking. There is ALWAYS room for improvement.
First time trying to ink Greg Capullo...NOT an easy task. I was not thrilled with this, but I wanted to get over my fear of inking him.
